XVideos behaves the way most big free tubes do: it's usable without an account, doesn't force a redirect on the first click, and renders fine on mobile. The crawler found no autoplay sound, no notification nag, and no malware flags.
The mark against it is the ad infrastructure sitting under the hood. Two known popunder/ad-loader scripts are present on the landing page along with four ad slots, even though none of them triggered a popunder during this test run. Only five third-party domains were contacted and none matched known ad/tracking hosts, so the exposure is lighter than the script count suggests, but the loaders are still live code waiting for the right conditions.
Treat it as a site that's fine for a quick, ad-blocker-assisted visit, less fine if you're browsing raw and clicking around without one.
