ThisVid keeps the basics in check: HTTPS is standard, there's no notification nag, and the first click doesn't send you somewhere else. That's the baseline every tube site should clear, and this one does.
Where it loses points is the usual tracker sprawl. Six known ad/tracking hosts and thirteen third-party domains contacted on landing means your browser is talking to a fair number of outside parties before you've even picked a video. Not malicious, just noisy.
Three ad slots on the page is middling for a free tube — enough to notice, not enough to make browsing miserable. If you run any blocker at all, most of this friction disappears.
