The 5-second verdict
HClips loads fine and doesn't redirect you on first click, but the landing page is stacked with ad slots and popunder scripts. Free video, sure, but the tradeoff is real.
- Best for
- Casual browsing if you already run an ad blocker
- The catch
- Five ad slots, three popunder-style scripts, and 42 third-party domains contacted on landing alone.
What we measured

- 5 ad slots on the landing page
- Loads known popunder / ad-network scripts
- Contacts 25 third-party domains on load
- 4 known ad / tracking hosts
Last checked: Sep 7, 2026
Upsides
- No forced redirect on first click
- Works on a phone screen
- No signup wall
- HTTPS throughout
Downsides
- 5 ad slots on the landing page
- Known popunder/ad-loader scripts present
- 42 third-party domains contacted
- 6 known ad/tracking hosts
HClips behaves like most large free tubes: content loads without a login and the page renders fine on mobile, but the ad infrastructure underneath is heavy. Five ad slots and three popunder-style scripts fired during a clean crawl with no ad blocker.
No malware flags, no autoplay-with-sound, no notification nag, and the first click didn't bounce us off-site — so the worst tricks some tubes pull aren't present here. That's worth something.
Still, 42 third-party domains and 6 known tracking hosts is a lot of baggage for a landing page. Run a blocker if you use this one regularly, because the site itself won't stop the ad load.
